Draft Burradoo Catchment floodplain risk management study on exhibition

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to view the draft Stage 2 – Burradoo Catchment BU2 Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan which went on exhibition on Monday 9 September 2013.

The Burradoo floodplain study was prepared after Council called for local flood historical information.

The draft documents form part of Council’s Floodplain Risk Management Program which aims to reduce the impact of flooding on the community and help better prepare, predict and manage future flood events.

These studies look at a variety of different flood scenarios from five year reoccurring incidents to Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) events.

The draft report can be viewed at Council’s Civic Centre at Moss Vale, Council’s libraries at Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong or online via www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/development/whats-on-public-exhibition.

Submissions must be received by Council no later than 4pm on Monday 11 November 2013 and be made in writing to:
