Wingecarribee Shire Council will be taking its office on the road and visiting the residents of Balmoral on Wednesday 7 September as part of its mobile roadshow.

Council’s General Manager, Jason Gordon said the roadshow – or Information Kiosk – was an opportunity for residents to ask questions of Council without having to visit the Moss Vale Civic Centre.

“Staff from numerous departments will be on hand to answer questions about a whole range of Council services.

“Engineers, Planners, Rangers, Customer and Community Service Officers will be in attendance to answer any specific Council related queries residents may have,” he said.

The idea of the one-stop-shop grew from community feedback received during preparation of Wingecarribee 2031+, Council’s long-term community plan for the Southern Highlands.

“This initiative is a direct response from residents who told us they wanted Council to be more actively involved in the community.

“The Information Kiosk is one method we are using to become more accessible and visible to the public. Each month we will be visiting a different town or village in the Shire,” Mr Gordon said.

The next Information Kiosk will be held in the Balmoral Village Hall on Wednesday 7 September from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

Further Information Kiosks are scheduled as follows:
