Council launches DA Tracker

Wingecarribee Shire Council has launched a new online tracking system that will allow customers to follow their development applications.

Launched at Council in January, DA Tracker lets customers monitor the progress of their development applications through the entire assessment process.

“Applicants can now track the progress of their Development Applications online from initial lodgement through to final consent,” said Council’s Director of Environment and Planning, Scott Lee.

Using the system, applicants can follow key milestones in the assessment process and also view documents from government authorities, including letters of deferral and consent from Council.

The system applies to both Development and Complying Development applications as well as any modifications and reviews to applications.

The ability to view applications also extends to neighbours and other interested parties of the applications.

“Whilst this system is available in some larger councils, Wingecarribee Shire Council is one of the first mid-sized regional councils to provide this service,” Mr Lee said.

“Apart from offering applicants improved levels of detail and access to information, DA Tracker also provides our users greater insight and transparency into what is often a confusing process.

“The introduction of DA Tracker is the first of numerous improvements Council is planning on introducing to assist our colleagues in the development industry.”

DA Tracker can be found under the Development tab on Council’s website at: www.wsc.nsw.gov.au.

Applications lodged as per the start of 2012 will be able to be followed on DA Tracker.
