Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on local community groups to apply for funding as part of the latest round of ClubGRANTS.

ClubGRANTS is an initiative of the NSW Government and Clubs NSW to provide funding for community development projects and services that have a direct impact on residents in the Wingecarribee Shire.

Council’s Community Development Coordinator, Cath Brennan explained that funding is available for projects provided by not-for-profit and community groups that have a direct impact on the community.

The local priorities for this funding are older people, young people, children and addressing social disadvantage.

“The ClubsGRANTS Scheme is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to raise the profile of their group or project which may otherwise struggle to get off the ground,” said Ms Brennan.

“I would encourage local community groups that meet the criteria for funding to make sure they submit an application.”

Organisations must be registered as not-for-profit and only projects which directly benefit residents of Wingecarribee Shire will be considered.

Application forms can be found online at: www.clubsnsw.com.au/community/clubgrants/for-applicants.

The ClubsGRANTS Scheme is open until Friday 23 June 2017.
