Wingecarribee Shire Council officers will be visiting the residents of Bundanoon on Wednesday 17 July 2013 as part of a mobile roadshow.

Council’s General Manager Jason Gordon said the information kiosks are an opportunity for residents to ask questions without having to visit the Moss Vale Civic Centre.

“Staff from numerous departments will be on hand to answer questions and promote a whole range of Council services in an informal environment. Engineers, planners, rangers and customer and community service officers will be in attendance to answer any specific Council-related queries residents may have.”

“The roving kiosk concept grew from community feedback received during preparation of Wingecarribee 2031+, the long-term community strategic plan for the Southern Highlands, when Council was told that it needed to be more actively involved, accessible and visible to the public.

“We have been visiting a town or village in the Shire each month since May 2011 when we first visited Bundanoon, our very first kiosk,” Mr Gordon said.

The Information Kiosk will be held at Bundanoon Country Hotel, 6-18 Erith Street, Bundanoon, on Wednesday 17 July between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.

Members of the Bundanoon Rural Fire Brigade will also be on hand to educate the community about property protection.

Councillors often attend the kiosks from 5pm however residents are encouraged to make appointments directly with them to ensure availability. Phone and email details for councillors can be found at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/councillors or call (02) 4868 0888.

Residents are welcome to drop in during the kiosk hours but are encouraged to RSVP prior by calling (02) 4868 0888 to ensure appropriate Council staff are on hand to answer their queries.
