Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on the Shire’s brightest young entertainers to strut their stuff at the next ‘Plugged-In the Plaza’ outdoor concert.

Council’s Youth Liaison Facilitator, Michelle Williams said the event was an opportunity for local artists to showcase their talents.

“We’re after five young acts to take part in the next show to be held in Bowral’s Corbett Plaza on Saturday 15 December,” she said.

“It may be a band, it may be a solo act or performance, it doesn’t matter,” she said. “If they’ve got the goods and think they can wow an audience, we’d love to hear from them.”

The second concert comes after the success of the inaugural show held in early November.

“Feedback from both patrons and artists at our first gig was extremely positive,” Michelle said. “We’d subsequently love to build on its popularity and make the concerts a regular summer time attraction.”

“If we can get acts of a similar calibre to the first show which included solo musicians, bands and even a juggler, we’re confident this can be achieved.”

Acts sought must be between 12 and 24 years of age.

“Apart from showcasing some of our Shire’s amazing talent, these type of events are also an opportunity for our young artists to get a taste of what may be their first live audience,” Michelle added.

The next Plugged-In the Plaza concert is scheduled to be held in Corbett Plaza, Bowral on Saturday 15 December from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

The event will be alcohol and drug-free and will be fully supervised.
