Wingecarribee Shire Council has today launched the 2020/2021 Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme.
Under the scheme, this year Council will distribute up to $120,000 to assist local not-for-profit organisations across the Shire.
The scheme aims to encourage and increase participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships within our Highlands community.
Grants and donations can be sought to fund programs, equipment or capital works which aim to establish, improve or enhance cultural, sporting, welfare, health promotion, community development or leisure services.
Returning for this year is the allocation of $10,000 for environmental and sustainable specific programs funded via Council’s Environment Levy. These grants are specifically intended for projects that promote or support sustainable living practices and ideas within community groups, schools and learning centres.
Local sports clubs, churches, charities, schools and childhood education centres, choirs, Scouts, Guides, community and hobby groups were just some of the local organisations to receive funding last year.
Under the scheme three types of funding are available, Community Assistance Scheme Donations up to $600, Community Assistance Scheme Grants up to $7,000 and Environment and Sustainability Grants up to $2,000.
All applications must be submitted online. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants can access the 2020/2021 Guidelines and submit their applications online from Council’s website at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/wingecarribee-community-assistance-scheme.
The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme including Environment and Sustainability Grants closes at 4pm on Friday 27 March 2020.
