Wingecarribee Public Libraries are set to help another group of enthusiastic year 12 students prepare for this year’s fast-approaching Higher School Certificate (HSC) by hosting an English study talk.

The free talk will be held on Tuesday 4 July and cover the English Area of Study – Discovery.

The talk will be presented by Larry Grumley, veteran HSC exam marker, study guide author and Head Teacher of English at Catherine McAuley College in Westmead.

“Larry brings over 25 years of experience teaching in both Australia and abroad,” said Trudy Eccleston, Children’s and Youth Services Librarian.

“He has a fantastic rapport with the students and is able to explain things clearly and concisely.”

Helping students prepare for their exams, the talk will focus on the ways in which discovery is represented in texts and exam requirements.

The free session will run from 2.00pm to 3.30pm on Tuesday 4 July in the Henrietta Rose Room next to Bowral Library on Bendooley Street, Bowral.

Bookings are essential and can be made at: www.hscseminardiscovery.eventbrite.com.au.
